Travelzoo Appoints Heather Rogers as UK General Manager for Local Deals & Entertainment

Global internet media company Travelzoo has announced that Heather Rogers has joined the company as general manager for Local Deals & Entertainment in the UK. Heather joins Travelzoo from Red Letter Days, where she was director of sales. She regularly reported to Red Letter Days' investors and Dragons Theo Paphitis and Peter Jones. In her new role, Heather will oversee sales direction and strategy for Travelzoo Local Deals & Entertainment in the UK, as well as member engagement, product development and trade and consumer relations. She will also lead Travelzoo in reviewing and optimising the current sales process, as well developing partnerships with external publishers. Heather will also be responsible for creating new content to increase engagement levels amongst current members, as well as for increasing the presence of Travelzoo in the trade market.

At Red Letter Days, Heather spearheaded a number of key innovations and was responsible for a 20% growth in sales in her final year alone. Prior to 2007, Heather was in the position of head of sales at Premier Inn, where she was responsible for driving £12m growth in business for Premier Inn and managing a sales team of over 25 people across the country.

Heather holds a B.Sc. (Hons) in Recreation Management from Hallam University, Sheffield, and will be based at Travelzoo’s headquarters in Central London.

Heather brings over 13 years of world-class sales experience to Travelzoo. She has an outstanding track record of driving sales, evaluating sales processes, launching high-quality products and understanding the UK travel market. I look forward to working with her as we continue to develop the Local Deals side of Travelzoo’s business in the UK.
