Travelzoo Launches ‘Wednesdays’ Campaign

- Advertising to run across London’s Underground Starring Real Travelzoo Subscribers -

Travelzoo, the UK’s top travel and entertainment deals provider, launched its first above-the-line advertising campaign today featuring Travelzoo members from across London. The campaign will run across London’s Underground network. The campaign's theme is the passion and excitement Travelzoo’s members have on Wednesdays for the arrival of the Travelzoo Top 20 – the definitive list of the week’s best deals.

Speaking about the campaign, Travelzoo’s UK head of marketing, Glyn Owen, said, “We have millions of members in the UK who are highly engaged and we felt it was time to tell their story and capture the excitement they have for the Top 20. Travelzoo members are at the heart of everything we do, so it’s only right that they are the stars of the show.”

The adverts feature six different people from places around London, each one craving their weekly fix of the Top 20 deals. The creative communicates the extreme readiness of Travelzoo members every Wednesday at 11am and shows them dressed partially in holiday attire in anticipation of jetting away.

Working directly with Exterion Media, Travelzoo selected the London Underground as the place to pilot the campaign as Tube car panels provide the dwell time needed to allow Travelzoo to communicate the brand narrative in a creative way – explaining what the Top 20 is and why it instils this sense of excitement.

The campaign will be supported by a public relations initiative during the rest of October around the importance of ‘taking back Wednesdays’ as a time to pause mid-week and seek inspiration for the weekend or next holiday.
